Taking things 1 day at a time....

All I can say these days is that I am surviving! Taking it 1 day at a time. My plate is so full I am not sure how I make it thru somedays.

My computer crashed and I thought I lost all my pictures- YEAH me They were able to save them..... and reboot my computer. The girls are happy about that cuz now they have a computer to play games on, without having to wait to use MINE!

I have gotten so behind on things with Matthew being home. Laundry is piled HIGH and the house is going to pot. Ok so it just needs a little cleaning, well ALOTA cleaning probably. But Matthew goes back to work for this week and then he will have 3 weeks off, at home before leaving AGAIN for the Advance Course at Camp Pendleton, CA for 6-7 weeks.

So this week I get to play catchup before EVERYONE will be home for Spring Break. We have plans to be gone to Sea world and visit family, so nothing will get done then either.

So does any of this make sense to you? I feel like I am jsut babbling. Sorry- lack of sleep and NO NOT FOR THAT REASON! Get your minds out of the gutter.

ONE highlight this past week though has been seeing Matthew and Delaney bound. He loves his baby and she adores him. He has rocked her to sleep and just cuddled with her. It is so precious. I have taken pictures and when I figure out how to add them to this laptop I will add them to my blog.

My baby will be 5 months old April 3rd. It is hard to believe how time has flown by. It has been fun to watch her grow. She is laughing and trying to talk. Rolling over and loves attention from everyone. She is the best baby. She actually slept from 830pm last nite til 5am this am when I HAD to wake her up cuz this momma was DYING! She then ate and went right back to sleep. What a good girl.

Well I hope I havent bored you to death. This is my life- daily......

He's HOME!!!

Ok- So Matthew made it home! Yeah! Problem is... our computer DIED the day he was coming home. So we went 2 days without a computer and we finally broke down and bought a new laptop today. Another problem is not a picture or program has been added to this computer so I can blog.... so plain words will have to do- for now. I will share all the juicy details, later. Believe me, you aren't missing anything! It was a pretty bad homecoming. We were tired and he was SOOOOOO Irritated with the "retards" he works with (his exact words) But all I can say is he is home and enjoy his family.

He arrived here on the base about 1130pm. Then they headed to the armory, that is where they turn in their weapons- machine guns and firearms. That was almost a 2 hour process. At about 125am 6 buses made there way to the field and unloaded as the Marine Corps band played. YES they really did play that early in the AM. I waited and waited for Matthew to find me along with Delaney- who was sleeping in her carseat. After the buses cleared and they started to drive away I still did not see Matthew. Then my phone rang. He was still at the Armory getting the sight count. The buses had left and weren't supposed to. He said he'd be down in a little bit. About 10 min later he arrived in a van along with 1 other guy. I was a little shocked to see him..... side note, for those who are "new" and I haven't shared with, Matthew was working out in Iraq and had gained about 20 lbs -MUSCLE!!!.... He looked HOT! Oh sorry, did I say that outloud. Man- it's been 8 months what can I say????

Well no fun kisses and hugs and stuff we just said hi, and small kiss and hug and then loaded up in the truck. He was so irritated he didnt even look at the baby, who was covered with a blanket becuz it was cold out. As soon as we were ready to drive away, his phone rang and he was needed. He drove to drop us off before heading back to take care of other peoples stuff!

I put the baby to bed and got ready for bed myself- oh! it was about 215am by this time! Just as I was ready to climb in bed he came back. He had gotten another call and they said to just go home, they would take care of it next monday........

And so our time together began! OH! wait- I am NOT sharing THOSE details..... are you CRAZY??????

After about 3 hours of sleep the girls woke ME up. So excited to see their dad, but afraid to get him up. We spent the day just hanging out as a family. It has been so cute to watch Matthew with Delaney and to see her wonder who he is. She has fallen in love with him and loves to watch him make faces. She has even laughed at him. OH! and he has even changed a diaper already. Lucky me.

I am so glad that our family is complete again. Now onto the next chapter- getting used to having him home..... and in my way!

*** This is just a little taste of the Marine Corps life, for those who don't know. I wouldn't change it for the world though. I love MY Marine!****

-I will post pictures when I can.

My head is about to EXPLODE!

After being sick for a week now, I figured I would be getting over this nastiness (is that even the spelling??) But NO it is even getting worse. Now I feel like me head is going to explode and my nose is going to fall off. I know, sorry probably too much info huh? Oh well.

So I spent the entire day blowing my nose, coughing and sneezing. And can I take anything? I dont think so, cuz I am nursing my sweet baby. ***Hey if any of you out there KNOW FOR A FACT that it is safe to take allergy type med's let me know. I NEED RELIEF!***

I am in the midst of about 10 loads of laundry today and going thru the WHOLE I call my room. I figured it was about time. I only have 3 days left to make things presentable for Matthew. I am not making it spotless, just presentable! Luckily, Delaney took about a 3 hour nap and the rest of the girls were gone, Thanks Carrie for letting them invade over there. I was able to make at least a small dent in things.

So maybe tomorrow I might have a minute to actually sit down and add the pictures of my girls on Sydney's birthday or of Delaney's finished bedroom. I have so many stories and pictures I would like to share..... but there just isnt enough time in the day right now.

Kids say the cutest things....

Ok so I wasnt sure what to post today- I figured those of you who are "followers" needed a little something..... So here it is. A little story for you.

The other day I was getting Kelsee's lunch ready and I asked her what she wanted. She told me just a lunchable, drink and a fruit snack. I asked her if she wanted pretzels, chips or anything else. Straight faced without missing a beat, she said. "I gotta lay off the chips!" What??? Shes 5 years old. That is something that I would say. Hey what, maybe she HAS heard me say that. Funny the things kids pick up on.

My girls make my days meaningful and funny! I got a good laugh out of it and thought you might too!

It's all About ME! Not the girls

Ok so after much deliberation and thought... (and a LITTLE peer pressure, thanks Jules) I have finally succom to the Blogging Blworld! So hang on and enjoy the many adventures of my life as a mommy of all girls.

I wish I would've done this Blogging thing 8 months ago, when my hubby, we'll just call him Matthew- cuz that's his name- left for a long deployment to Iraq. We have had plenty of adventures since he has been gone. Many trips to the doctors, birthdays, the birth of our baby, Delaney Nicol, and of course all the holidays. And I wonder why my hair is gray???? no really I know why...... refer to the picture of the girls at top. It is not easy being mom and dad at the same time. But it has been a fun ride while it lastest and I am SOOOOOO looking foward to the ride coming to an end next Monday... when Matthew gets HOME and takes over being the dad again.

So here is the "lowdown" on our family.....
Matthew is a GySgt. in the US Marine Corps. He is on his 3rd deployment to Iraq. When he is not deployed, he is a major homebody, oops he probably wont like me saying that but this is MY blog not his! We have been together for 17 1/2 years, married for almost 12 years. We have 5 girls. Curstian, my stepdaughter, just turned 18 and is ready to be out on her own. Haylee is 11 (march 23rd) and is in the 5th grade. She is a handful on days, but on others she is the one I can count on. Sydney is 9 (march 19th) and in the 3rd rade. She brightens my day with her smile. She is a go with the flow kinda girl. Kelsee is 5 and is a red head and has the personality to go along with it! She is a smarty pants and thinks she knows it all. And then there is the baby of the family, Delaney aka "Laney" as her sisters call her. She has grown by leeps and bounds. She is already 4 months old. She brings joy to all of us and keeps mommy company during the day. It has been fun to watch her grow. Then there is ME! Yup that's right- little ole me, the one who runs the taxi service, is the chef, the maid, the laundrymat, the hairstylist, the "booboo fixer" and the glue that holds this all together! I LOVE Being a Mom! I am so lucky to have these girls and a great hubby to go along with it. It has been the worst and best years of my life. But the best outweigh the bad by far.
**just a sidenote, I love !!!!!- You will get that as you read my blog entries. Also if there are misspelled words it's not that I dont know how to spell it is that I am doing it with a little one on my lap and only typing with 1 hand**

Now that all the formalities are out of the way.
I should've known that one day I would blog. Over the past little while, I have caught myself saying "Wait I gotta get the camera, that would be a great blog, someday" well that day has finally come and arent you lucky, you get to share it with me.
Yesterday in fact, Kelsee decided to cover herself with bandaids. All over her face, arms and legs. Why is it that kids think that bandaids need to be used whenever you have a mark, bruise or booboo? and then 2 seconds later, that bandaid they were dying for you to put on is on the floor and no longer on their body? OH! Sorry I digressed. Instead of getting mad at Kelsee I said "Hold On- I gotta find the camera before you take those off." Check out the pictures. at the top of the page (OK so I am still new at this blogging thing and adding pictures. Give me time!)

Well I think that will be the end and a good start inside my world of craziness! I hope you enjoy it.....
