Happy 14th Birthday Haylee

So I am such a bad mom!  I admit it.  Life has just got too crazy and busy over the last few months. I want to blog but it just gets put on the back burner. So now it’s time to catch up….. so forgive my few posts all at once. And maybe, just maybe I can get caught up on “life”

March 23, 2012 we celebrated my OLDEST daughter’s birthday

HAPPY 14^th BIRTHDAY HAYLEE NICOL!

She is all growed up (as they always said on Rugrats, one of her fav shows when she was younger) She is BEAUTIFUL, talented, a great sister, a wonderful daughter and an awesome babysitter!  She is my right hand girl. I can always count on her to be there to help me out.  I am so lucky to be her mom.

 

We didn’t do much for her birthday. Of course I decorated her door and made her a BIG poster.  She had her BFF sleep over and we had pizza for dinner.  I made her a chocolate chip cookie cake (which has been at her request for the past few years now) 

I certainly hope she had a good birthday and felt LOVED.  We LOVE you Haylee Nicol!

Kelsee turned 8

I am such a bad mom!  On August 28^th my sweet Kelsee Nicol turned 8 years old.  Life has been so crazy with all the goings on… I feel like I just can’t catch up. So here is Kelsee’s Birthday post (just a month late LOL)

My sweet girl has been counting down the days til she turned 8.  She cannot WAIT to get baptized… BUT she’s gonna have to wait a LITTLE longer, til Gramma and Papa can come to visit in October.

I can hardly believe that Kelsee is 8!  Where did the time go?  I remember the day I gave birth to her… the day after my oldest started Kindergarten. She came out a little red headed spitfire! And has been on the go ever since.  I can’t imagine life without our monkey.

Since her birthday was just 2 days after we got here to Michigan, she didn’t get a “party” with friends L BUT we made the best of it and celebrated as a family.  

I decorated her bedroom door, as tradition has it. I also made a BIG BIRTHDAY sign for her. 

We went to Sacrament meeting that day (it was a Sunday) and then came home and played the day away and watched tv.  Kelsee of course took no time to change into her "TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY" tshirt either

 Daddy BBQ’d Ribs and Corn on the cob for dinner and we had yummy cake. 

All in all it was a SUPER day!  I think she felt LOVED and appreciated (at least I HOPE she did)

Happy Birthday my sweet MONKEY!  We sure LOVE you and are so happy you are a part of our family!

Hello November

Hello NOVEMBER!  Hard to believe you are here ALREADY!  I am NOT ready for you to be here.  There is WAY TOO MUCH to do before now and Christmas!  Every year I make BIG plans to be crafty and creative and do so many things.. and here we are. You are here and what have I accomplished? ZIPPO would be the answer to that question.  MAYBE, just maybe I MIGHT check something off my list before December comes to visit me.

Let’s see... My BABY’s birthday ( it's tomorrow- she is turning 2. WOW! Did I just say that?  It can't be. She was JUST born), the Marine Corps Ball in Vegas Nov 8^th, going on vacation to Utah for Thanksgiving. (1^st time spending it in Utah with family since we have been married- 13+ years ago) my birthday (Wow I am gonna be OLD), Thanksgiving, BLACK FRIDAY shopping (I will NEVER miss that! And this year I get to go with 2 sisters and my mom... that is, IF they are UP for it!) and the list goes on and on.  Will I survive November? SURE I will. But it is gonna be a whirlwind of a month.

PS November will you SLOW down a little so I can ENJOY this time of year?
