Bustin up the floor!

It's been OVER 30 years in the making!

 

Ok so it is about time to Replace this floor!  Its been LONG enough.  So my brother, David and I took it into our hands and BUSTED it up on Monday night!

It didnt take long and lots of tile actually came up WHOLE....

It took us 1 hour total to bust up the floor and then clean it up. We still have a little to do on Friday nite (under the stove, fridge and microwave cart) before laying it all down.

This is our new favorite "tool"  it made lifting the tiles a Breeze!

He's ok!

I woke up yesterday and got on the computer.... just like every other day. But I was shocked this time..... I got an email from Matthew.  It was SHORT!  Vert SHORT!  

It said "Hi. Would you send me my computer. Love you. I will call in a few days. ME"

So I am GUESSING he is ok and in Afghanistan.  I wrote him back yesterday and my email was a little (OK ALOT) longer.  They girls got excited when I told them I got an email from daddy.  They all wanted to tell him HI and they loved him.  I am so grateful for technology and how quick emails can get to those around the world.  I hope to maybe be able to even SKYPE with him when he gets his computer.  The girls would love that and so would I :)

I know I dont have any pictures to add to this blog. But I just had to share that my hubby is ok.  It is hard to believe its been 2 weeks since he left.  Time is FLYING by.  I hope the next week SLOWS down though.... i want to enjoy SPRING BREAK!

 The girls LOVE to have their doors decorated.... it starts off the day in a great way.

Then it was time for CAKE and "presents"!

This is the 2nd year in a row that Matthew (Haylee's daddy) has missed her birthday.  This one being extra special.  She became a YOUNG WOMEN and is no longer in Primary at church!   I tried as hard as a could to make her day special but for some reason she was just not having the best birthday.  She even wrote a sign that said This was the WORST birthday ever on the back of one of the signs on her door.  Me as a mommy was very sad :(  I dont know how to help her.

We are so lucky to have Haylee in our family.  She is the best big sister and daughter!  we love you Haylee

OUCH!

 Haylee decided to was brave enough to get her ears pierced... I asked her MANY times if she REALLY wanted to do it.  Knowing the responsibility with getting them done... cleaning your ears and all.  She assured me that she was. So saturday night (3 days before she turned 12) I gave in....

It's PARTY time!

It was a Double PARTY!

 Haylee is turning 12 (on the 23rd)  her "theme" was Luau.... Very colorful

Sydney turned 10 and her "theme" was Black and white.  (not sure what happened to the PINK!)

We had a bowling party for them. It was such fun.  They had it at the same time but 2 different lanes and 2 different tables and friends.....

Delaney LOVED chomping away on her snacks.

We decided to do cupcakes this year.  Luckily they were able to do it seperate themes.... The girls LOVED them!

 Sydney is a pro..... she loves to bowl.

Delaney got a BooBoo... she fell and gave herself a black eye :(

I am a LUCKY mommy :)  We missed our daddy being there (for the 2nd year in a row he's been on deployment for the girls birthdays.)
